Procter & Gamble begins taking online job applications

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — It will be some time before Procter & Gamble complete work on their multi-million dollar manufacturing plant in Berkeley County, but they are already looking to create a workforce.

Job applications are being accepted online starting today.

Yannis Skoufalos, P&G’s global product supply officer, says they have a lot of positions to fill.

“We’ll have about 300 P&G employees by 2017,” Skoufalos says, “Which should ramp up to over 700 in 2019.”

That hiring process will take years to accomplish.

Media relations manager for P&G, Jeff LeRoy says they will be hiring through 2019.

LeRoy says they’ve partnered with Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg to offer training to potential workers.

Although the application process is underway LeRoy cautions people to make sure they are ready for a job in terms of skills and training.

“This is not like you’re waiting in line for an amusement park ride where it’s first come, first serve,” LeRoy said. “What’s important here is that you have the right skills, background and training.”
Job applications are being accepted now at www.pgcareers.com.

Applicants will need to create an account then complete a questionnaire and assessment.
