1 dead after Morgan County crash

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal crash that shut down traffic for several hours.

Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Martinsburg Road (Route 9) at around 9:48 Tuesday morning.

A 1989 Chevrolet truck belonging to Warren Bishop, Jr., 79 of Berkeley Springs, left the roadway and overturned. Sheriff K.C. Bohrer confirms Bishop was pronounced dead.

Crews responded from Morgan and Berkeley County, as well as Washington County, Maryland.

Morgan County Deputy Jenkins continues to investigate the crash.
