Update: Suspect in Beckley bank robbery captured in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Raleigh County man suspected of robbing a bank in downtown Beckley last week was arrested in Huntington Friday.

Brian Darell Ruffin, 34, of Beckley, was wanted for the Oct. 21 robbery of the City National Bank branch on South Kanawha Street.

After the incident, police recovered a mask believed to have been used during the robbery and a mountain bike investigators said was the suspect’s getaway vehicle.

Ruffin was taken into custody by U.S. marshals, who were assisted in the investigation by Beckley Police, the Cabell County County Sheriff’s Office, Princeton Police, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia Division of Corrrections.

He was taken to the Cabell County Magistrate’s Office Friday for arraignment.
