Doctor faces sexual abuse charge in Monongalia County

STAR CITY, W.Va. — A doctor with medical practices in different locations across the state has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse.

Star City police responded Aug. 2 to a report of an assault at Star City Nutrition, in the same building as the medical practice of Dr. Virgil McMillion, 49.

Police said the victim reported McMillion pulling her into a backroom by the arm after she rebuffed his advances.

In the back room, McMillion allegedly began to kiss the victim against her will and grabbed her buttocks as she struggled to get away.

McMillion has pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual abuse and is free on a $35,000 property/surety bond.

McMillion was indicted in July 2021 in Lewis County for second-degree sexual assault. He was later found not guilty by a jury.

Authorities said his medical license has been suspended in Ohio, South Dakota, Louisiana, Idaho, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland, and Oregon.

McMillion has offices in Fairmont and Princeton and is affiliated with Broaddus Hospital.
