CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Those who knew the 17-year-old boy shot and killed earlier this week on Charleston’s West Side are scheduled to gather for candlelight vigil Saturday night.
It is scheduled for 8 p.m. near the Family Dollar on West Washington Street. That’s close to where the shooting occurred early Tuesday morning.
Charleston police have charged a 15-year-old boy with murder but he hasn’t yet been taken into custody.
Police have said the victim and the shooter knew one another and the crime took place during a planned robbery.
