MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The trial for a former Musselman Middle School teacher accused of multiple counts of sexual assault against a student has been set for Nov. 17.
Luke Young Seno, 47, appeared Berkeley County Circuit Judge Michael Lorensen Monday in orange West Virginia Division of Correction and Rehabilitation clothing. Both his hands and feet were shackled for the duration of the hearing.
He has been held on $1.5 million cash only bond since May 31, 2025.
An indictment alleges that on multiple occasions, Seno assaulted the student, who was 14 at the time.
Defense attorney Dylan Batten and Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Kinser agreed to a November trial date with a pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 6.
Among the charges in the indictment from a February 2026 filing include more than a dozen counts each of:
-soliciting a minor and traveling to engage the minor in prohibited sexual activity
-sexual assault in the third degree with a person who younger than 16 years old
-sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian to a child
-sexual intercourse, sexual intrusion, or sexual contact against students by school employees
Court records indicate the assaults occurred during the period of Jan. 1 and May 29, 2025.

Berkeley County School Superintendent Ryan Saxe once they learned of the allegations against Seno, they reported them and placed Seno on leave.
