Arrest in Charleston stabbing

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A woman is in custody following a stabbing that occurred Friday morning at a Charleston residence.

Charleston police have charged J’Mece Young, 26, with malicious wounding.

She allegedly stabbed another person during a domestic dispute at residence in the 400 block of 22nd Street in North Charleston at around 4 a.m..

Police have not named the victim. The person is hospitalized with what’s described as serious but superficial wounds.

Young was arrested back in June for allegedly making terroristic threats at an urgent care facility. She’s been free on $5,000 bond.

She’s now being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $500,000 bail.
