Peacemaker to host NRA Freedom Weekend

GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. — A West Virginia shooting range will host one of the largest shooting competitions in the nation next month.

The National Rifle Association has announced the Peacemaker National Training Center will host the NRA Freedom Weekend Sept. 24-26.

The NRA is not exaggerating claims when it says the event will be the biggest shooting sports event of 2015, Peacemaker owner Cole McCullough said.

“It crowns the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in shooting,” McCullough said.

Professional and amateur competitors will face off for nearly $500,000 in prizes, which McCullough called “the biggest payday in shooting sports history.”
